About the role
The Inside Account Executive will prospect and acquire targeted new customers and business within the medium to small account segment, contributing to revenue and margin growth within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategy for targeting, planning, and capturing new business within defined territory
- Negotiate the customer’s business process to meet with decision-makers
- Define the prospect’s footwear, PPE, and uniform needs through effective discovery
- Identify customer needs through discovery sessions; develop and recommend solutions
- Plan and participate in the development and delivery of all presentations to prospective customers
- Close new acquisitions with solid solutions, pricing, and margin targets
- Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for sales goals in defined territory
- Evaluate competitive activities and develop strategies and tactics to counter their effectiveness
- Share valuable insight and product knowledge with customers
- Update company CRM daily, including account activities, opportunity size, probability of success, and date to close
- Maintain all prospect information, including pipeline and appointments within the company CRM
- Communicate with Strategic Account Manager (SAM) on seamless customer handoffs on closed business
- Keep abreast of industry developments and touch customer stakeholders
- Recognize trends and provide market insights and process improvement ideas to the Team Leader on an ongoing basis
Requirements
- 1-3 years direct sales experience
- Previous focus for Inside Sales New Business Acquisition, Account Management, or Account Executive positions
- Relevant industries experience
- Proficient at desktop computer use and appropriate applications
- Knowledge and proficiency at CRM, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Some college or equivalent
- Ability to address customer needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with, and willingness to navigate, bureaucratic organizations, with an ability to uncover, engage, and close business with multiple stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information, handle questions, and recommend Galls solutions in a professional manner
- Ability to solve problems under pressure
- In-depth knowledge of customer ordering procedures and Galls internal processes
- Superb organization and prioritization skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Strong initiative and follow-through to close new business opportunities
- Personal motivation to continue improving
- Willingness to maintain robust and current GQ record of network and activities
- GQ and Zendesk system proficiency
