Inpatient Surgical Nurse - Night Shift

About the role

Provides direct patient care in an inpatient surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and barriers to involvement.
• Maintain safety by working in a vigilant, alert manner, adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

RN license required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience in Med/Surg is preferred; no prior experience necessary.
