About the Role

This position involves providing direct patient care on an 18-bed inpatient surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and collaboration with the healthcare team. It includes developing individualized care plans, ensuring communication across the care continuum, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
• Develop and document personalized care plans with clear goals.
• Maintain a safe environment, demonstrating alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license required.
