About the Role
Provides direct patient care in an inpatient surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
- Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
- Use critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and ensure effective communication across the care continuum.
- Maintain a safe work environment, demonstrating alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree, active RN license, no prior experience needed.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, less than 2 years of experience.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
