Injury Prevention Coordinator Lead (East Liberty)
About the Role
Join our team as a Lead Injury Prevention Coordinator in East Liberty, OH. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial ergonomics, injury prevention, and staff leadership, especially within manual laborer or industrial populations. You will champion injury prevention initiatives within the workplace, coordinating and delivering work conditioning and early intervention services with a primary focus on preventing work-related injuries.
Shifts vary between 7:30am-4:00pm, 5:30am-2:00pm, or 12:00pm-8:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the injury prevention team, including recruiting, orienting, training, and evaluating staff; assist in planning and assigning work duties in collaboration with the client.
- Provide mentorship and conduct formal semi-annual performance appraisals; initiate formal corrective action as needed.
- Guide and support a team in delivering injury prevention programs, including work conditioning, ergonomic evaluations, and early intervention initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of interventions and programs focused on the manufacturing environment to meet client objectives.
- Assess client needs and identify HealthFitness programming solutions.
- Conduct employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
- Develop exercise programs specific to injury prevention and conditioning needs, including evaluation, follow-up, and employee placement.
- Collect and evaluate program data to support ROI processes and report data for assigned areas.
- Promote and market wellness and general education programs to the target population.
- Handle projects or other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related field, or licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
- 3+ years’ experience in health and fitness.
- Minimum 1 year of previous supervisory/staff management experience.
- Experience in an industrial occupational health environment.
- Current Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Institute, or American Safety & Health Institute (must include an in-person component).
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team toward collective goals and strategy.
- Ability to collaborate, integrate, and partner with multidisciplinary teams/departments.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Board Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC) Certification.
- Experience and/or certification in ergonomics.
- Active state athletic training licensure.
- Working knowledge of the client site location.

Pay
The compensation range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 annually. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and skill set.
