About the role
Sea Fox Boat Company is one of America's leading manufacturers of premium saltwater fishing boats, and we're seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to ensure all team members go home safely every day.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, implement, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations
- Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses throughout production areas
- Track and report safety metrics including incident rates and corrective action completion
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), PPE programs, lockout/tagout procedures, permits, and safety documentation
- Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee education
- Manage contractor safety requirements and monitor compliance while on-site
- Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and communication with local emergency agencies
- Support OSHA inspections, audits, and regulatory visits
- Maintain inventory of PPE and safety supplies
- Partner with HR, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Leadership to promote a proactive safety culture
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk and improve workplace safety
Requirements
- 2+ years of occupational safety experience in manufacturing, marine manufacturing, heavy industrial, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with safety management software is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- CSP, OSHA 30, CIH, or other professional safety certifications preferred
- Knowledge of marine manufacturing, ABYC, USCG, or maritime safety standards is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work throughout a manufacturing facility and outdoor production areas
- Must be able to wear required PPE
- Frequent walking, climbing ladders, standing, and occasional lifting
- Occasional travel between facilities or suppliers may be required
