What You'll Do
- Manage daily safety operations, training programs, waste-management compliance, equipment and fleet maintenance.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all things safety-related on site.
- Lead internal safety campaigns to promote Verde's green-minded, people-first culture.
- Ensure OSHA, Highwire, Green Seal, and other required certifications/programs are active, compliant, and continually updated.
- Manage and support incident reporting, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
- Cover daily safety huddles and join pre-job/pre-work meetings with frontline staff.
- Provide and review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure staff understand procedures before work begins.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with supervisors to reflect client updates and compliance requirements.
- Train staff on SOPs and maintain competency in all procedures.
- Keep up-to-date training logs for every employee and schedule refresher trainings.
- Support staff and managers on incident processes and clarify all safety expectations.
- Perform daily safety walks with supervisors to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Complete internal janitorial closet audits at PUSD and FAC.
- Maintain laydown areas and janitor closets using the 6S method.
- Respond promptly to ISEP findings and violations and implement corrective actions.
- Verify all chemicals are client approved and Green Seal certified.
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products.
- Oversee daily waste-related operations, including scheduling pickups for recycling, compost, and general waste.
- Manage recycling programs, including baler operation.
- Collect universal waste and shredded paper.
- Request and track Outbound Asset Material (OAM) forms and maintain an updated daily Compliance Record.
- Record and report waste-diversion data-supporting Verde's environmental goals.
- Oversee vehicle-maintenance schedules and keep fleet logs fully compliant.
- Schedule and track routine vehicle service each quarter (March, June, September, December).
- Maintain service and usage logs for all machines and equipment.
- Ensure the golf cart is secured, charged, and well-maintained.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in safety coordination, facilities services, industrial environments, or similar roles preferred.
- OSHA Certification (required).
- Valid Driver's License (required).
- Strong communication and leadership skills-able to train, motivate, and engage frontline teams.
- Excellent organizational skills (you'll be the keeper of logs, schedules, compliance records, and more).
- Ability to perform daily site walks and inspections. May require lifting, bending, or moving equipment during training or inspections.

- Work takes place indoors (offices, guardhouses, warehouse) and outdoors (FAB and site facilities).
