Safety Coordinator

About the Role

Are you a safety-focused professional who thrives in active construction environments and takes pride in protecting people and projects? We’re looking for a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety execution across our job sites. In this role, you’ll partner closely with project teams to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. You’ll be a visible presence in the field—helping create a proactive safety culture while supporting crews in executing work safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
• Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement or recommend immediate corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
• Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
• Support new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
• Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to engage field teams and reinforce safe behaviors in real time.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in active, fast-paced construction environments.
• Commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
• First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• STSC® (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) or equivalent certification preferred.

Authority

• Authorized to stop work in unsafe conditions.
• Authority to require immediate corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on active job sites.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Pay

$65,000 - $80,000 Per Year
