Safety Coordinator
About the role
E2 Optics is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a member of our Safety Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and clients.
Responsibilities
- Support execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs.
- Drive behavior-based safety culture to achieve accident-prevention and loss mitigation at E2 Optics customer locations.
- Provide safety and health training, instruction, and coaching to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.
- Assist the Safety Manager with incident/accident investigations, subsequent documentation, problem solving, and implementation of countermeasures.
- Conduct and/or participate in Safety audits to review practices and records to ensure compliance with relevant H&S programs and OSHA regulations.
- Track, trend, and drive structured problem solving for recurring safety issues that prohibit realization of performance targets.
- This position is generally expected to require minimal overnight travel (5%).
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required, with an Associate’s Degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Ability to positively influence and encourage others.
- High attention to detail.
- Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as required by E2 Optics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
- 2-3 years Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment.
- OSHA 30 certification.

Schedule
The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight and confined spaces.
