About the Role

Join Mission Technologies as an Information Assurance Technician supporting the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC) in delivering secure and reliable mission networks for the Air National Guard (ANG). This role involves implementing and managing cybersecurity strategies, compliance frameworks, and security measures to protect critical systems. You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information across multiple networks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement information assurance and security engineering systems, including business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, insider threat detection/mitigation, physical security analysis, and security management.
  • Plan, manage, and execute all Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements for the DTOC, including:
    • Risk management strategy, policies, awareness/training, assessments, continuous monitoring, authorizations, implementations, and remediation.
    • Life-cycle cybersecurity risk management for Air Force information systems.
    • Assessment of DTOC IT assets for cybersecurity risk, mitigation of residual risk with Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), and alignment with DODI 8510.01.
    • Compliance with internal policies and procedures, and development/review of interconnectivity requirement documents.
  • Perform duties of an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for non-SAP and SAP mission networks, as required.
  • Manage the Common Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
  • Oversee systematic revalidation of RMF controls and continuous monitoring.
  • Assist in authoring and editing cybersecurity-related documents such as Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA), Service Level Agreements (SLA), and Connection Approval Packages (CIE).

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 0 years with a Master’s degree; or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Working experience in IT roles such as System Administrator, Network Administrator, or ISSO.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
  • DoD 8570/8140-compliant Information Assurance certification at the IAT II or IAM II level (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
  • Current or active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT or cybersecurity-related degree.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $70,370 - $100,000 per year.
