About the role

Exciting opening for an Information Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large customer organization in Bethesda, MD. Candidates must currently possess or be able to acquire a TS/SCI Polygraph security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to congressional inquiries on Cybersecurity issues.
  • Translate cybersecurity needs and capabilities into requirements and detailed technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a list of Cybersecurity Architecture needs, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Analyze cybersecurity best practices to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute meaningful input to Cybersecurity policies.
  • Develop and publish baseline security requirements for common enterprise services to ensure compliance with cybersecurity directives and policies.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, risk analysis, and task dependency analysis.
  • Develop security requirements and constraints to provide input to foundational technical documents, including program architectural artifacts, business cases, and concept of operations.
  • Assist with Authority to Operate (ATO) process and assess program ability to attain an ATO.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for security-related issues.
  • Diagram interim and future architecture for ICAM implementation.
  • Define and communicate ATO integration expectations for all IT services.
  • Work with Service Providers to ensure systems are integrable.
  • Act as the SME for all Cybersecurity questions and concerns for the customer.
  • Willingness to assist in areas outside of Cybersecurity as necessary.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Microelectronics.
  • Apply a firm understanding of Cybersecurity requirements across the Intelligence Community (IC).

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (current or ability to acquire).
  • Typically requires a BS degree and 12–15 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 10 years of experience. Experience may be exchanged for degree.
  • Experience in cybersecurity responsibility areas listed above.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to consistently provide high-quality, concise, thorough, and accurate products.
  • Ability to adapt in response to shifts in customer priorities.
  • Expert knowledge in ATO process.
  • Experience partnering across the IC.
  • Experience in Risk Management.

Pay

Estimated starting pay range is $185,000–$200,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations, and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
