About the role
Responsible for leading cybersecurity initiatives and ensuring agency compliance with security policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and plans.
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk evaluations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into new systems and applications.
- Train and educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.
- Respond to security incidents and ensure timely remediation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity.
- CISSP certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a government or federal environment is highly desirable.
Skills
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
- Experience with threat intelligence and incident response.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
