About the role

Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking an Infant Mental Health (IMH) / Home-Based Clinician to provide intensive, relationship-focused services to infants, young children, and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide home-based screenings, assessments, and therapeutic services for children ages 0–17, with a focus on infants and toddlers (0–3).
  • Support parent-child attachment, early development, and healthy family functioning.
  • Deliver short-term counseling (individual, family, and group) using trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches.
  • Help families access essential community resources (housing, medical care, transportation, financial supports).
  • Career coordination with schools, DHS, courts, and community partners.
  • Support families in achieving developmental milestones and maintaining stability in the home.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
  • Michigan licensure (LLP, LLPC, LPC, LLMSW, LMSW, LMFT)
  • IMH Endorsement (MI-AIMH) preferred, or willingness to pursue endorsement

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of infant development, attachment, trauma, and family systems
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license
