About the role
Join Tykes & Teens to provide mental health services for children and their families in Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties. Services are provided in natural settings such as home and school, and are HIPAA-compliant.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children and their families, including assessing treatment needs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, and determining discharge criteria.
- Complete and maintain required intake forms, documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates.
- Maintain outcome measures for the effectiveness of treatment.
- Work in a team environment and use evidence-based therapeutic practices to ensure highest quality of care.
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required.
- A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance is required.
- An ability to work in a team environment.
- Licensed or registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491 and two years of experience in working with children and families.
Qualifications
- An active and clear State of Florida License - LCSW, LMHC, LMFT for licensed positions.
Skills
- Experience in providing mental health services to children and families.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices, particularly Child-Parent Psychotherapy.
- Ability to work in diverse settings and with various populations.
