About the role
Tykes & Teens is a provider of mental health services for children and their families. Our therapists provide psychotherapeutic interventions, assess treatment needs, develop and review treatment plans, and determine discharge criteria in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain required intake forms, documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates.
- Maintain outcome measures for the effectiveness of treatment.
- Provide mental health services to children aged birth to 5.
- Work closely with primary caregivers to shape young children's mental health.
- Serve in Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties.
- Provide services in natural settings such as home and school.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices like Child-Parent Psychotherapy.
- Support social-emotional development, attachment patterns, and healing from trauma.
- Reduce challenging behaviors and dependency involvement.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Two years of experience in working with children and families.
- Licensed or registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491.
Qualifications
- Active and clear State of Florida License - LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus.

Pay and Schedule
The pay range is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Positions are available full-time, part-time, and contract.
