Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of and be able to proficiently perform the duties of a residential psych tech.
• Display appropriate communication skills and be able to delegate responsibilities and directives regularly.
• Collect and review all necessary documentation at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Know emergency procedures and guide cottages concerning emergencies as they arise, making outside contacts when necessary.
• Contact all cottages at the beginning of the shift for initial contact and roam throughout the shift to assess and assist staff as necessary.
• Assist Operations Supervisor in scheduling and cottage assignments of residential psych techs if needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Normal residential group environment.
• Moderate physical effort requiring handling of average weight objects up to 50 pounds and standing/walking.
• Able to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours and deal with irate individuals.
