Person In Charge

This role involves overseeing store operations in the absence of management to ensure efficiency and profitability. Key duties include monitoring associate adherence to policies, handling customer concerns at cashier and courtesy desks, conducting inspections, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities also encompass closing procedures, product location knowledge, and ensuring safety and food safety guidelines are followed. Additional tasks may be assigned based on customer needs and departmental requirements. Qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred), with at least one year of retail or related experience. Skills required are strong reading, writing, basic math, suggestive selling, and attention to detail. Physical demands involve lifting up to 30-50 pounds, standing, walking, and performing physical movements typical of retail environments. Travel may be required.
