ICU RN - Full Time Nights
About the role
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 6-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for acute cardiac and critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, medication, and post-discharge needs. Nurses collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Critical assessment of physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs is essential, with attention to patient preferences and cultural considerations.
Responsibilities
- Promote a healing environment through compassionate care and education.
- Participate in safety and quality improvement activities, maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Develop and document personalized care plans with clear goals, coordinating with team members and families.
- Assess patient conditions thoroughly, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Maintain safety awareness as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree with RN licensure; Bachelor's preferred.
- No prior experience required; two years of nursing experience and supervisory experience are preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
