HVAC Truck Based Serviceman (union)

Responsibilities

• Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
• Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket services for HVAC products, including residential/ducted products, air-cooled/water-cooled chillers, AHUs, or rooftop ducted units.
• Repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, and screw chiller system components.
• Travel 10% to 20% to support branch customers with startup, commissioning, and aftermarket service troubleshooting.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Enroll in training programs and JCI’s STA to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Work collaboratively with other local market mechanics.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding problems, causes, and corrective actions through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
• Provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on residential and/or ducted products, air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs, or rooftop ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.
• Self-starter with a passion and desire to learn and apply on the job.
• Attention to detail through strong interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills.

Pay

Pay Range: $40.50/hr to $45.00/hr (hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet).
