What You Will Do

Johnson Controls seeks skilled HVAC Servicemen to join their growing business. This opportunity involves commissioning, servicing, and maintaining advanced commercial equipment. As a trusted advisor, you will consult customers on comfort, building efficiency, and other service-related issues.

How Will You Do It

  • We provide factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards.
  • You will have direct access to Factory Technical Support.
  • We equip you with necessary safety equipment, uniforms, tools, a cell phone, technical equipment, and a vehicle.
  • Servicemen must have two years of practical working experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment.
  • You may be required to pass an examination to identify your skills and knowledge.
  • You will assist Journeymen in repairing and servicing centrifugal, absorption, screw, and scroll chillers.
  • You will perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements on commercial heating and cooling systems and recommend solutions to ensure facility efficiency.
  • You will identify enhancements for system reliability and sustainability during service and provide labor and material quotes for your recommendations.
  • We offer incentives for recommended solutions quoted.
  • You will participate in weekend, night, and holiday call-out service on a rotating basis.

Required

  • Adherence to the company Safety Program.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and repair of three-phase commercial HVAC equipment, RTU's, heat pumps, and fans.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Preferred

  • Five (5) years of commercial and/or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFD's, air handling units, and rooftop units.

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $30.59 hourly, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
