About the role
Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support the growth of its HVAC business in North America. The position offers opportunities to work on advanced commercial HVAC systems, with the potential for travel up to 20%.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers.
- Provide solutions and recommendations to ensure facilities are running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
- Write and communicate quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
- Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies and enroll in training programs to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
- Work with other mechanics, apprentices, and local market servicemen.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by providing the highest quality service and resolving facility inefficiencies.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
- Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing, and mechanical shaft alignment.
- Ability to use vibration equipment and perform mechanical shaft alignment.
- Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
- Prioritize safety in all forms.
Qualifications
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.
