HVAC Truck Based Serviceman (union)

What You Will Do

Johnson Controls seeks skilled HVAC Servicemen to join their growing business. This opportunity involves commissioning, servicing, and maintaining advanced commercial equipment. As a trusted advisor, you will consult customers on comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues.

How Will You Do It

• We provide factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards.
• You will have direct access to Factory Technical Support.
• We will equip you with necessary safety equipment, uniforms, tools, cell phone, technical equipment, and vehicle.
• Servicemen must have two years practical working experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment.
• You may be required to pass an examination to identify your skills and knowledge.
• You will assist Journeymen in repairing and servicing centrifugal, absorption, screw, and scroll chillers.
• You will perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements on commercial heating and cooling systems and recommend solutions to ensure efficiency.
• You will identify enhancements for system reliability and sustainability during service and provide labor and material quotes for your recommendations.
• We offer incentives for recommended solutions quoted.
• You will participate in weekend, night, and holiday call-out service on a rotating basis.

Required

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and repair of three-phase Commercial HVAC equipment, RTU’s, Heat Pumps, and Fans.
• A valid driver’s license.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Preferred

• Five (5) years of Commercial and/or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFD’s, Air Handling Units, and Rooftop units.

Pay Range

The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile. If you believe your background warrants consideration beyond the stated range, we encourage you to apply. The posted salary range is $30.59 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
