  • Train and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
  • Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy to build skill sets for continued opportunities.
  • Develop troubleshooting and customer needs resolution skills through coaching and mentorship.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about job progress and issues.
  • Maintain attendance for required Union training during the first year.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
  • Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What We Look For

  • Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
  • At least 1+ years of industry experience or equivalent experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally to customers and other external contacts.
  • Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job.

How You Will Do It

To succeed in this role, apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites. They will also participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy to build skill sets for continued opportunities. Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues and customer needs. They will keep stakeholders informed about job progress and issues as needed, maintain attendance for required Union training during the first year, provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities, and prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What We Look For

  • At least 1+ years of industry experience or equivalent experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is hourly, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
