As a trusted advisor, you will troubleshoot and resolve both technical and customer-related issues. You will also provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities. Additionally, you will prepare quotes to support your recommendations.
What You Will Do
- Train and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
- Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to build skill sets.
- Develop troubleshooting and customer needs resolution skills through coaching and mentorship.
- Keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed about job progress and issues.
- Maintain attendance requirements for required Union training during the first year.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to enhance facility efficiency.
- Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What We Look For
- Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- General knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally.
- Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment.
- Ability to prioritize safety in all forms.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Prior 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $25.08 - $37.86 per hour, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
