Summary Of Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Aid in repairing mechanical and electrical systems with heating and cooling equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of heating and cooling equipment.
Monitor and inspect heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
Investigate heating and air conditioning complaints; perform minor repairs.
Install air and water filters on various equipment across all Dollywood Company properties.
Use the TMA work order system for work assignments and record time and materials for each work assignment.
Assess HVAC and other equipment drainage problems and perform necessary repairs.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized in the trade.
Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required.
Maintain a professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
Promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers.
Work independently as well as in a team setting.
Education And Experience Required
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least 6 months experience of HVAC experience, preferred.
- Has basic computer skills.
- Working knowledge of basic heating and cooling systems.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy.
- Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.

- Able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, hand wrenches, shovel, etc.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to be clean shaven in order to properly utilize a respirator.
Physical And Cognitive Requirements
- Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting.
- Mobile: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces.
- Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions.
- Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors.
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods.
- Able to endure temperatures of 0 to 110 degrees.
- Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, and work in confined spaces.
- Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds).
- Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 150ft.
