Responsibilities
- Put your skills to work on advanced commercial HVAC systems, handling troubleshooting and repairs to full system installations.
- Work with a wide range of equipment, including chillers, compressors, pumps, rooftop units, and building automation systems—using modern tools like laser alignment and vibration analysis to get the job done right.
- Serve as a trusted expert to customers—diagnosing issues, explaining solutions, and ensuring their systems run efficiently and reliably.
- Collaborate with a strong team of professionals, sharing knowledge, supporting apprentices, and continuing to grow your own expertise.
Requirements
- Experienced HVAC mechanic with several years of experience working on commercial or industrial systems.
- Comfortable troubleshooting a range of equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems, including alignment and vibration diagnostics.
- Clear communication skills, both to teammates and customers.
- Universal EPA refrigerant license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Participation in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices.

Pay
Pay Rate: $51.15 Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
Schedule
This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position. This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union.
