HVAC Data Center Travel Team Journeymen Mechanic (union)
About the role
Willingly travel 50-75% of the time as part of the HVAC Data Center Travel Team. Dive into the latest building automation technologies on the market today.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex challenges and master HVAC trade
- Handle troubleshooting and repairs, full system installations
- Work with a variety of equipment, including chillers, compressors, pumps, rooftop units, and building automation systems
- Diagnose issues, explain solutions, ensure system efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with a strong team, share knowledge, support apprentices, and grow expertise
Requirements
- Several years of experience working on commercial or industrial systems
- Comfortable troubleshooting a range of equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, and related systems
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems, including alignment and vibration diagnostics
- Ability to clearly communicate findings and solutions to both teammates and customers
- Open to travel as needed
- Universal EPA refrigerant license
- Participation in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices

- Hands-on HVAC professional who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in quality work
- Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including alignment and vibration diagnostics
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge

Pay
Compensation range: $29.50 - 36.87 per hour, determined by local UA education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Payroll Information
This position is a Bargaining Unit Position. Hiring compensation range is determined by the Local UA. (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
