Human Resources Intern

Interns start mid-August and work until early November on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times and a hybrid schedule allowing up to 3 days of remote work per week. Opportunities to continue part-time after the summer may be available, dependent upon performance and school schedule.

Responsibilities

• Apply academic education to assigned tasks
• Receive on-the-job training and mentorship in various HR functional areas: benefits, payroll, compensation, training, and recruiting
• Perform data entry, ad-hoc reporting in Paycom (HRIS), and create Excel reports
• Handle filing, scanning, mailing, and other administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an accredited bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field
• Basic experience using Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Good oral and written communication skills for professional interactions
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work part-time (25 hours per week) from August through November
