Human Resources Intern

Job Description We are seeking a driven Human Resources Intern to join our team. This role provides the opportunity to support key Human Resources initiatives that enhance employee development, talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on maintaining HR systems and records, tracking HR metrics, supporting succession planning and employee relations efforts, recruiting and onboarding direct labor talent, and developing organizational communications, including new hire announcements. What You Will Do Update training records in MQ1Utilize HRIS (SuccessFactors) for data entry and reportingTrack HR metrics, targets, and goalsEmployee and community relationsSupport in succession planning by creating development plansUpdate and revise job descriptionsAttract and hire top talent to Bison: Direct labor recruiting and onboardingWrite organizational announcements for new hires Other Tasks May Include Payroll and/or time and attendance tracking and reportingHandling unemployment claimsAssist in implementing HR policies and procedures What We Are Looking For Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related field; Sophomore or Junior preferredAble to work part-time during school sessions and full-time during breaksProficiency in Microsoft Office required; strong analytical abilities preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral) requiredDemonstrated track record of organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skillsStrong attention to detailDiscretion in handling confidential information, materials and employee records and ability to prepare confidential information related to employer-employee relationsAbility to perform a variety of professional, technical, and analytical human resources functionsAbility to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing and team-oriented environmentStrong problem solving and critical thinking skills to proactively find new ways to solve problems and identify resourcesPassionate about taking on new challenges and opportunities with a positive, entrepreneurial spiritNot afraid to ask questions and recommend solutions
