We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations for a manufacturing organization in Sanger, California. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating employee processes, maintaining accurate records, and providing dependable administrative support across HR activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding activities by preparing onboarding materials, scheduling required steps, and helping employees complete pre-employment documentation.
  • Maintain and update employee records within HR information systems, ensuring data is accurate, current, and properly organized.
  • Support background screening processes by tracking status, following up on outstanding items, and documenting results for HR files.
  • Assist with day-to-day HR administration, including preparing forms, handling routine inquiries, and supporting internal HR workflows.
  • Provide basic employee relations support by escalating concerns appropriately, documenting interactions, and helping maintain consistent communication.
  • Help monitor compliance with staffing and personnel documentation requirements by reviewing files for completeness and accuracy.
  • Partner with HR staff to support process improvements and administrative tasks related to HR systems and onboarding activities.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in human resources support or HR administration.
  • Working knowledge of HR information systems and the ability to maintain confidential employee data accurately.
  • Experience assisting with onboarding coordination and pre-employment processes.
  • Familiarity with pre-employment screening procedures and related documentation follow-up.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with employees, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive personnel information.
