About the role

Our client in the luxury hospitality industry is seeking a temporary HR Assistant to provide administrative and recruiting support to a busy Human Resources team in West Hollywood. This assignment is expected to last 2-3 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Role is onsite Mon-Fri, hours are 9-5 flexible. Lunch is provided daily.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team by maintaining records, preparing documents, and organizing employee files.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities such as scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with hiring logistics.
  • Support onboarding efforts by collecting new employee paperwork, tracking completion of required forms, and helping ensure a positive start for employees.
  • Assist with pre-employment screening processes and monitor pre-employment steps to help keep hiring timelines on track.
  • Update and maintain information in HRIS platforms with accuracy and attention to confidentiality.
  • Respond to routine HR inquiries from employees and direct questions to the appropriate team members when needed.
  • Help with employee relations administration by documenting concerns, tracking follow-up items, and supporting internal HR processes.
  • Contribute to special HR projects and provide general assistance to the team as priorities shift during the assignment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience providing administrative support in a Human Resources environment.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and the ability to enter and manage employee data accurately.
  • Experience assisting with onboarding tasks and documentation for new employees.
  • Familiarity with pre-employment screening coordination and other pre-employment processes.
  • Understanding of employee relations procedures and the importance of handling sensitive information discreetly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, deadline-driven setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders.
