Human Resources Generalist - Centralia, MO
Job Overview
Join our growing team in Centralia, MO! We are looking for a strong HR Generalist who will be responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring, interviewing, benefits and enforcing company policies and practices. This role will be responsible for partnering with plant leadership to deliver a high-performance culture, promoting ownership, goal attainment and continuous learning and improvement at all levels of plant.
About the Role
This is an onsite position in Centralia, MO. A Day In The Life Every Day At Hubbell Is Different And You’ll Contribute In Many Ways. On Any Given Day, You’ll Make a Difference By Providing daily HR support to the manufacturing employees maintaining positive employee relations and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Preparing offer letters and new hire package.
- Congducting new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Conducting workplace investigations and addressing employee concerns.
- Supporting labor relations and union administrative activities.
- Coordinating performance review programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Supporting all job description changes and compensation.
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence, Legal, Finance, IT, and operational leaders on HR initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or Management is required.
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience (required).
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
- Manufacturing HR experience and Union experience preferred.
