HR Generalist

About the role

Responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Director/Manager with a primary focus on processing and updating employee information, personnel files, record keeping, correspondence and new hire paperwork as well as assisting in the coordination and implementation of numerous HR initiatives and programs.

Responsibilities

• Process and update employee information, personnel files, and record keeping.
• Maintain correspondence and new hire paperwork.
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of HR initiatives and programs.
• Perform staffing, payroll, and employee relations duties.
• Conduct selection and interviews for positions, including setting selection criteria, salary levels, and budgets.
• Manage onboarding processes, including UltiPro data entry and communication to departments.
• Process terminations, ensuring proper data entry and communication.
• Coordinate new hire and benefits orientation, employee training programs, hiring support, job analysis, compensation analysis, and routine employee relations.
• Provide coaching and consultation to managers, supervisors, and employees to resolve HR-related problems.
• Work with managers to resolve and prevent employee relations issues.
• Provide information on employee programs and policies.
• Enter and maintain all employee information in UltiPro (HRIS).
• Maintain personnel files, including training records and new hire paperwork.
• Advise managers on performance management, workforce planning, compensation issues, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
• Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timetables, conducting research, and organizing information.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and networks.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
• Three or more years’ experience in a progressively responsible HR role required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification in Human Resources preferred.
