About the role
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the primary administrative manager for compliance with FMLA, Unemployment, Worker's Compensation, Benefits Administration, Staff Learning & Development, and Employee Relations. This role collaborates with the HR Director to create and implement engagement and retention strategies, fostering a positive work environment where employees feel motivated to grow within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Ensure administrative compliance with FMLA, Worker's Compensation, and Unemployment laws, maintaining accurate documents, correspondence, and records.
- Process benefits administration to ensure accurate employee eligibility of coverages and conduct quarterly audits of enrollment rosters for accuracy.
- Assist staff and managers in conflict resolution, performance coaching, and feedback sessions to improve team dynamics and employee experience, enhancing staff retention.
- Support management with the development of appropriate and effective disciplinary actions.
- Oversee Staff Learning & Development efforts, collaborating with managers to enhance training and career pathing opportunities for employees.
- Promote inclusion and belonging through HR programs, including Employee Experience efforts and activities.
- Work with the HR Director to coordinate enhancements to HR services, including partnerships with HRIS systems and broker relationships.
- Develop and maintain a process for conducting exit interviews and establish a reporting system to deliver actionable insights for process improvements aimed at retention.
