Support CFP employees and the Human Resource Manager by managing key areas of the employee experience—including talent acquisition, employee relations, policy implementation, and compliance. Partner with managers, employees, and the HR team to ensure HR operations align with company values and goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead as an example of CFP’s values: Customer Service, Absolute Integrity, We Are Family, Share the Success
- Administer payroll
- Maintain accurate personnel file management using HRIS system, ensuring legal compliance and confidentiality
- Support the full-cycle recruiting process: job postings, screening, interviews, offers
- Onboard new employees through HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Conduct New Hire Orientation with new employees
- Assist new hires with logging into cfpOne and completing benefit elections within the first 30 days of employment
- Address employee questions or concerns regarding benefits, policies, and procedures
- Administer all FMLA/LOA/STD processes
- Assist with worker’s compensation claim management
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the HR team
- Engage with employees regularly in the mill environment
- Manage competing priorities and stressful situations effectively
- Perform job duties in a manner consistent with safety policies and work standards
- Communicate proactively and effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
- Work cooperatively with others
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned to meet CFP’s Mission and Purpose
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of HR or related experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office suite
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
Physical Demands
- Regularly sits, stands, walks, and moves throughout office and manufacturing environments
- Frequently uses a computer and other office equipment
- Occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, and lifts up to 20 pounds
Pay
$50,000 – $70,000 per year
