Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for all workers' compensation claims and related processes.
- Coordinate injury reporting, claim submission, investigations, and communications with employees, managers, medical providers, carriers, and third-party administrators.
- Manage return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
- Monitor claim status, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Track injury trends and provide recommendations to reduce workplace incidents and costs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Support employee relations as necessary.
- Process employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, transfers, salary changes, organizational updates, and employee data maintenance.
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure data integrity.
- Care for onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions.
- Provide support and guidance regarding employee benefits programs and leave of absence processes.
- Coordinate employee communications and assist with issue resolution.
- Partners with vendors and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives, culture-building activities, and HR programs.
- Support implementation of HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports related to workers' compensation, HR operations, and workforce metrics.
- Afford assistance with audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, including 3-5 years Human Resource Generalist experience.
- Experience administering workers’ compensation programs and return-to-work processes preferred.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, leave administration, worker’s compensation and HR operations.
- Experience with HRIS or ATS systems required.
- SPHR/PHR preferred.
