Human Resources Consultant - Employee Relations - Full time, Day, Remote
About the role
Providence is seeking a Human Resources Consultant specializing in Employee Relations. This full-time, remote position supports core leaders and caregivers by providing guidance on employee relations matters, utilizing best practices in positive employee and labor relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulatory requirements.
The role involves employee and labor relations research, identifying trends and critical intervention needs, policy development, effective record-keeping, and maintaining data integrity. You will also manage HR metrics and dashboards, reporting findings to align actions with insights.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for leaders and caregivers on employee relations matters.
- Apply best practices in positive employee and labor relations.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct research on employee and labor relations, identifying trends and patterns.
- Develop and recommend critical interventions, dispute alternatives, and policy improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
- Create and maintain HR metrics and dashboards, reporting findings to HR professionals.
Requirements
- 3 years of demonstrated experience providing high-touch customer service in a 'concierge' style environment.
- 2 years of professional human resources experience in a similar role.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience in Employee Relations, labor relations, ADAAA, and leaves of absence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Upon hire: Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) (preferred).
- 2 years of experience working in a multi-state/healthcare environment (preferred).
- 1 year of additional experience in Labor Relations, HR Service Center, Drug-Free Workplace, Compliance, and/or Performance Management (preferred).

- Anchorage: $40.11 – $62.27 per hour
- Kodiak, Seward, Valdez: $41.81 – $64.91 per hour
- California:
- Humboldt: $40.98 – $64.88 per hour
- All Northern California (except Humboldt): $46.91 – $72.82 per hour
- All Southern California (except Bakersfield): $41.81 – $64.91 per hour
- Bakersfield: $40.11 – $62.27 per hour
- Idaho: $35.69 – $55.41 per hour
- Montana:
- Except Great Falls: $32.29 – $50.13 per hour
- Great Falls: $30.59 – $47.49 per hour
- New Mexico: $32.29 – $50.13 per hour
- Nevada: $41.81 – $64.91 per hour
- Oregon:
- Non-Portland Service Area: $37.39 – $58.05 per hour
- Portland Service Area: $40.11 – $62.27 per hour
- Texas: $30.59 – $47.49 per hour
- Washington:
- Western (except Tukwila): $41.81 – $64.91 per hour
- Southwest (Olympia, Centralia & below): $40.11 – $62.27 per hour
- Tukwila: $41.81 – $64.91 per hour
- Eastern: $35.69 – $55.41 per hour
- South Eastern: $37.39 – $58.05 per hour
These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
