HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL).
Duties
You will provide senior officers and staff members training on processes and various program requirements.
You will analyze, research issues, and determine the actions to resolve the issues.
You will maintain tuition and fees records.
You will maintain a local tracking system and monitor data by updating as needed.
You will serve as Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) for all personnel, students, and midshipmen.
You will prepare, submit all required documentation to process gains, losses, separations, retirements, pay, and PCS travel claims.
Requirements
- A US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Maintaining filing systems of various records;
- Entering data into automated database systems;
- Reviewing documents for completeness and compliance with established guidelines;
- Utilizing office automation equipment and software in order to prepare a variety of forms and correspondence.
Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
