Responsibilities

  • Completes specialized HR projects and supports general administrative HR functions.
  • Manages full-cycle recruiting support, including job postings (social/professional platforms), candidate screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, and tracking recruiting metrics to improve outreach and hiring outcomes.
  • Represents the company at job fairs and recruiting events; and builds relationships with external community talent sources (schools, community organizations, and workforce programs).
  • Affords assistance to employees in understanding and accessing company benefits, including health plans, retirement options, and other programs; serves as a resource for benefit-related questions and enrollment support.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing department on advertising creative development and strategic, data-driven advertising campaigns to optimize the recruitment budget and improve candidate ROI.
  • Supports onboarding and offboarding processes, maintains HR systems, databases, and compliance records, including personnel files, required employee documents, and tracking of employee leaves (FMLA, disability, etc.).
  • Creates and coordinates training materials, presentations, and related logistics (including travel arrangements when needed).
  • Coincides with employee engagement, recognition, and appreciation initiatives, including company events, celebrations, and milestone programs.
  • Serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries, visitors, and phone calls, directing requests and providing support on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Affords assistance with payroll, business office functions, special projects, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Professional HR certification (aPHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience coordinating onboarding activities, managing confidential employee records, and supporting recruitment processes desired. Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking software, and employee database management preferred. Familiarity with HR compliance documentation (FMLA, disability claims) a plus. Experience with instructional design, training development, or creating employee training materials preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects, strong phone, email and in-person communication skills, high level of attention to accuracy and very detail-oriented, proficient in use of standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google G Suite, and internet functions, Clerical expertise & experience with using business system application.

Working Conditions

  • Valid insurable driver’s license.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative from a remote supervisor.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines and team objectives. Flexible scheduling may be required during weeks with job fairs, onboarding activities, or special HR projects.
  • Routine travel among company store locations is required. A fleet vehicle or mileage reimbursement will be provided for required business travel.
  • This position is targeted for the Manheim location; however, the role may be based out of any of the company's four store locations.
