Administrative Assistant for Human Resources
Qualifications
- Skilled user of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of human resources and general office management.
- Proficient in the use of human resources management software to include spreadsheets and database management.
- Hightly skilled at promoting good public relations.
- Good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Performance Responsibilities
- Maintains and validates accuracy of personnel records required for employment including signed contracts, transcripts, certificates, pension, and W-4 tax forms.
- Collaborates with the Executive Director to process district employee leave requests, including FMLA.
- Processes unemployment and workers' compensation claims.
- Supports the Executive Director in on-boarding new employees and assisting with exiting staff members.
- Monitors and processes certified staff continuing education approval requests and tuition reimbursement.
- Serves as primary contact for absences for the district and enters employee sick, personal, vacation, and bereavement annual allotment in the district absent management system.
- Assists with employee retention efforts including safety and wellness initiatives.
- Manages district required compliance training for state and local mandates as relates to OSHA and human resources (ex: GCN Training).
- Monitors and maintains the human resources area of the district website to ensure all information and forms are up to date.
- Verifies appropriate certification and/or licensure of certified and support staff.
- Organizes and tracks submission of performance evaluations for all certified and classified personnel.
- Assists the district office with district-wide and community communications.
- Trains and supports building office personnel in the consistent human resource functions.
- Attends professional development on human resources as required or needed.
Compensation
$45,000 - $55,000 based on years of experience.
