Fullerton College is accepting applications for part-time Human Anatomy Instructors for Spring 2026 and ongoing. This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis.
About the role
Teach ANAT 231 F Human Anatomy, an in-person course that meets twice a week. Morning, afternoon, and evening sections are possible. New instructors are encouraged to apply; the Health Sciences department will provide course materials, guidance, and support in course development.
Responsibilities
- Direct student dissections
- Utilize anatomical and histological specimens and models
- Employ multi-modal, student-centered pedagogy to meet the needs of first-generation, immigrant, and low-income students
- Participate in curriculum development, program self-assessment, and Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessment
Requirements
- Master’s in any biological science, or
- Bachelor’s in any biological science and Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science, or
- Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area, or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by the District Equivalency Committee
All degrees must be from accredited postsecondary institutions and verifiable on a legible transcript. Foreign degrees and/or coursework require evaluation.

- Experience teaching in-person laboratories
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with ability to apply equity-minded practices in the classroom
Pay
- Lecture unit rate: $1,391.74 – $1,527.30
- Lab parity unit rate: $1,391.74 – $1,527.30
- Lab unit rate: $1,113.42 – $1,221.77
Salary placement is based on education (Column 1 – Column 3).
