About the Role
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Associate supports leaders and employees with HR initiatives, operational processes, tactical issues, and employee relations efforts. This role builds positive working relationships and acts as a contact for leaders and employees within the assigned client group while maintaining accurate personnel records using Workday. The HRBP Associate provides high-level administrative support for multiple departments, including Plant Management, Operations, Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Accounting, and Safety.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of company systems (Workday).
- Recruit, interview, test, and select salaried and hourly employees for the client group.
- Conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive impression of the business unit.
- Administer salary and hourly compensation programs to ensure compliance and equity within the client group.
- Manage vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and other employee-related reports requested by management.
- Prepare new hire and termination documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine termination reasons.
- Accurately record and enter employee information (e.g., personal data, compensation, tax data, attendance, performance reviews, termination details) into the Company’s HRIS.
- Process employment applications and assist in pre-employment activities such as background checks, drug screens, and new employee orientation.
- Maintain and update employee files, including personnel, medical, and general files (both electronic and paper).
- Manage company-sponsored events and programs, such as community outreach and service award banquets.
- Coordinate client group training with HR management.
- Gather and maintain safety records, ensuring accuracy.
- Perform SAP verifications and reporting, including cycle counts and inventory.
- Review, code, and submit invoices for approval.
- Serve as a backup for Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) accounting and coding.
- Update and maintain bulletin board postings.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of Human Resources or related experience.
- SHRM or HRCI certification (preferred).
- General knowledge of HR functions with an emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Workday and SAP/S4 systems experience (preferred).
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM (or 6:30 AM) to 3:00 PM (or 3:30 PM), with possible overtime based on business needs.
- This is a fully onsite role; must commute daily to the Greensboro, GA plant.

- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Noise level is usually moderate, typically in an office setting.
- Some work may require operating in plant units with required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection).
- May involve exposure to outside elements and require the use of stairs and elevators.
- Occasional travel, including air or auto travel, may be required.

Pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset.
