About the role
Join our dynamic team as a Recruitment Specialist and support recruitment activities for multiple State agencies through an HR Shared Services model. This role offers a unique opportunity to fast-track your experience in recruiting and human resources by actively sourcing talent, building brand awareness, and partnering with leadership on successful onboarding and offboarding.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including advertising, candidate communication, interview coordination, participation on interview panels (digitally or in-person), employment offers, and background/reference checks.
- Onboarding: Oversee new employee setup, including Workday hiring processes, computer access, training assignments, and personnel information filing.
- Orientation: Prepare and conduct in-person HR New Hire Orientation sessions at least once per week from the Lincoln office. Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth first day for new employees. Complete required new hire paperwork (Form I-9, W4, W4N, and other agency documents) in compliance with USCIS and IRS requirements. Deliver orientation presentations.
- Offboarding: Manage the exit process for departing employees, including Workday termination processes, archiving/deleting computer access, and serving as the point of contact for the departing teammate.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to leadership teams.
- Collaborate with organizational partners to build trust and successful working relationships.
- Work within a team of Human Resources Specialists, modeling confidence, ethical behavior, customer service, communication, innovation, integrity, and accountability.
- Develop relationships and partnerships with Nebraska and surrounding state educational institutions to increase brand awareness and build a reliable talent pipeline.
- Research, develop, and propose strategic active recruitment initiatives to HR leadership to boost brand awareness and application conversion rates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Two years of coursework or training in personnel management, business administration, public administration, or office/administrative fields or three years of related experience.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
