About the role

Provides customer support and resolves systems issues through the human resources systems team which provides District departments with direct assistance in resolving their system issues.

Assists in administration of human resources systems, maintains system tables, documents and analyzes departmental system requirements; and develops, maintains and distributes user documentation and trains staff in accounting and payroll systems usage.

Interacts with all levels of internal staff in documenting human resources systems issues or which include screen and report layouts.

Participates in a variety of analytical studies pertaining to human resources data; conducts analyses that relate to human resources systems, working in concert with centralized information systems staff.

Prepares a variety of reports, flowcharts, diagrams, documentation and other written materials; compiles a variety of information for use by staff.

Assists with District-wide training programs related to human resources systems utilization; provides information as required.

Performs management support activities such as preparing Board agenda items, conducting studies for School Board requests pertaining to human resources data.

Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of a work team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, MIS or related field; AND one (1) year of professional experience in human resources systems administration and computer database management; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.

Qualifications

Knowledge Of Governmental human resources processes and program evaluation. Principles and practices organizational and management analysis. Principles and practices of human resources systems development and administration. Principles and practices of union contract administration. Data sampling and statistical analysis techniques. Function, organization and basic services of the District. Applicable laws, codes and regulations. Computer applications related to the work. Human Resources record keeping practices and techniques. Standard office practices and procedures, including the operation of standard office equipment. Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Techniques for working collaboratively with a variety of individuals.

Skills

Skill In Interpreting, explaining and applying requirements, rules and regulations related to governmental Human Resources practices and Union contract administration. Testing and participating in the implementation of Human Resources system modifications. Conducting test plans for testing enhancements to Human Resources systems. Conducting, and participating in complex systems and analytical and research projects pertaining to Human Resources data. Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines. Compiling and reviewing system reports and data for completeness, accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures and compiling Human Resources data for distribution. Preparing timely and accurate Human Resources system operational analyses. Maintaining accurate Human Resources records and preparing accurate and timely reports. Working without close supervision in standard work situations. Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

$77,344 - $96,592

Schedule

FTE: 1.0 FTE/ 52Weeks; this is based on full-time equivalency with 1.0 being full time
