HR COORDINATOR - Full Time
About the role
Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108-bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents, and adults. The Human Resources Coordinator performs daily administrative tasks and services to support the Human Resources Department, with a strong emphasis on support to employees and assistance with the recruitment and interview process.
Responsibilities
- Resolves a wide variety of general questions and inquiries for facility staff.
- Provides routine information to visitors, callers, and employees, requiring a good knowledge of Human Resources processes. Directs and escalates issues as appropriate.
- Assists with recruitment events and job fairs.
- Processes new hires regarding the pre-employment process.
- Schedules new hires for orientation and ensures all onboarding documents are completed for the new hire to begin employment.
- Ensures the facility is prepared for new hire orientations and facilitates the orientation schedule.
- Facilitates orientation.
- Maintains filing of HR records and assists in performing periodic audits of HR files.
- Maintains employee training records and tracks education/training.
- Sends reminders to department leaders of staff due for upcoming trainings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Up to one year of human resources experience preferred.
