Position Overview
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all assigned Villari Food Group business locations. This position is vital to the HR team for its support in keeping the organization safe, efficient, and engaging for every employee. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed.
Specific Job Duties
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions or fielding employee requests to the necessary HR or operations team member.
- Sets up and conducts orientation and onboarding activities including drug screening, adding employees into HRIS system, leading portions of the orientation in a classroom setting, and assisting new hires with other transactional needs.
- Assists with investigations including completing documents and collecting statements; translating conversations or documents; and filing completed documents or collecting signatures from necessary parties.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Aids with processing of HRIS administrative tasks as needed.
- Aids with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Filings documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Processes mail as a backup to HR Assistant.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files as needed.
- Aids with recruitment and interview process as needed. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates’ Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 1+ years experience in Human Resources, Customer Service, or Administration in a manufacturing setting required.
- Must have a current Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Must be willing to transport other employees in personal or other prearranged vehicle at any time.
