About the role

An HR Clerk for PCL Industrial Services, Inc. contributes to our team by supporting new hire candidate verification, onboarding processes, and ensuring timely placement to meet workforce demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new hire candidate verification and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate required pre-employment screenings, background checks, and jobsite-specific compliance requirements.
• Monitor and track candidate progress through all onboarding and pre-employment requirements to ensure timely placement.
• Maintain hiring and onboarding goals to support workforce demands.
• Partner closely with recruiters to deliver a seamless candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Issue testing authorizations, certification documentation, and other required onboarding forms.
• Communicate reporting instructions, onboarding details, and jobsite requirements to candidates prior to their start date.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and onboarding documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree (A.S. or A.A.) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Basic business acumen with an understanding of industry practices and emerging trends.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
