About the Role
As an HR Clerk at Field Fresh Foods, you will provide essential administrative support to the Human Resources department and serve as a helpful point of contact for employees. You will assist with employee records, onboarding, recruitment, HR documentation, data entry, and general employee inquiries while helping ensure HR processes are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and dependable, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources team.
- Assist with new-hire onboarding, including preparing paperwork, collecting required documentation, and ensuring employee records are complete.
- Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR records accurately and confidentially.
- Perform data entry and update employee information in the company’s HR systems.
- Assist employees with general HR questions, forms, policies, and procedures, directing more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
- Support recruiting activities, including job postings, applicant coordination, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Assist with new-hire orientation and other employee onboarding activities.
- Prepare, organize, scan, file, and maintain HR documents and reports.
- Assist with tracking employee documentation, acknowledgments, certifications, and other required records.
- Support HR with attendance, timekeeping, and employee information updates as needed.
- Help coordinate employee communications, meetings, training sessions, and company events.
- Respond professionally to employee requests while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
- Assist the HR team with special projects and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous Human Resources, administrative, clerical, or office support experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer/data-entry systems. Experience with an HRIS or HCM system is a plus.
- Strong ability to organize documents, maintain accurate records, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain employee information and HR documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and approachable demeanor when assisting employees and candidates.
- A helpful, service-oriented attitude and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced HR environment while also completing assigned responsibilities independently.
