Duties
- Create and maintain both physical and digital employee files
- Conduct new hire orientation, including benefit enrollment
- Aid in the Recruiting process, including ad placement, resume review, telephone interviews, and support
- Support payroll functions, including reviewing time punches and submitting documentation, answering employee questions, and communicating to the HR manager about changes or corrections
- Manage Workers’ Compensation claims, from initial reports through investigation and coordination of benefits
- Administer the employee benefits program, maintaining its integrity and confidentiality
- Keep HR files, records, and communication up to date with state and federal labor law requirements
- Ensure all HR filing is current
- Perform miscellaneous projects and assignments as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Human Resource coursework or equivalent experience
- Human Resources Certificate preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience with ADP payroll processing
- Flexibility and adaptability, ability to pivot when needed
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Ability to prioritize effectively, think independently, and problem-solve to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner
Pay and Schedule
- $25 - $30 per hour (depending on experience)
