What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support for the HR function at the plant.
  • Work on-site at the plant and assist with HR-related questions for all employees.
  • Monitor break room and office supply inventories, completing and organizing orders as necessary.
  • Manage the attendance call-in line, recording absences and updating timesheets appropriately.
  • Escalate attendance infractions to the HR team for further action.
  • Respond to verifications of employment and other employment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain the HRIS on a regular basis by carefully reviewing and processing entries and employee changes.
  • Create and post company and position updates throughout the plant.
  • Provide onboarding support to the Sr. HR Coordinator, including scheduling pre-employment appointments, sending background check requests, sending first day emails, and assisting candidates with challenges.
  • Maintain and update the company intranet with important updates and changes.
  • Aid with the planning and execution of company events.
  • Manage the lobby area, including greeting new hires, candidates, applicants, visitors, etc.
  • Offer administrative support to other department functions within the manufacturing plant as needed.
  • Act as a resource to employees throughout their employee lifecycle from onboarding to termination, providing assistance and direction on HR programs, benefits, payroll, policies, resources, and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and/or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, be resourceful, proactive, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, and comfort interacting with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and demonstrating a collaborative and customer service mindset.
  • Proven ability to handle and maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding employee information.
  • Agility mindset and comfort adapting to change.

Required Education

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Education

  • A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.

Required Experience

  • Prior experience working in HR or other administrative function.

Preferred Experience

  • One to two years of experience working in HR or other administrative function.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
