What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide general clerical and administrative support for the HR function at the plant.
- Work on-site at the plant and assist with HR-related questions for all employees.
- Monitor break room and office supply inventories, completing and organizing orders as necessary.
- Manage the attendance call-in line, recording absences and updating timesheets appropriately.
- Escalate attendance infractions to the HR team for further action.
- Respond to verifications of employment and other employment-related inquiries.
- Maintain the HRIS on a regular basis by carefully reviewing and processing entries and employee changes.
- Create and post company and position updates throughout the plant.
- Provide onboarding support to the Sr. HR Coordinator, including scheduling pre-employment appointments, sending background check requests, sending first day emails, and assisting candidates with challenges.
- Maintain and update the company intranet with important updates and changes.
- Aid with the planning and execution of company events.
- Manage the lobby area, including greeting new hires, candidates, applicants, visitors, etc.
- Offer administrative support to other department functions within the manufacturing plant as needed.
- Act as a resource to employees throughout their employee lifecycle from onboarding to termination, providing assistance and direction on HR programs, benefits, payroll, policies, resources, and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and/or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, be resourceful, proactive, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, and comfort interacting with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and demonstrating a collaborative and customer service mindset.
- Proven ability to handle and maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding employee information.
- Agility mindset and comfort adapting to change.
Required Education
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Required Experience
- Prior experience working in HR or other administrative function.
Preferred Experience
- One to two years of experience working in HR or other administrative function.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
